Figs are in season and if you like sweet and savoury dishes this is a great way to whip up something in 2 minutes! You can serve the tartine as a starter or as a dessert for people who don't really like cakes. Make mini versions for the apero or double up and make a sanwhich for lunch. The recipe below is the simple version but feel free to add stuff to it! A couple of lambs lettuce leaves or a slice of cured ham would go very well with it☺

You will need:

Bread (I prefer sourdough but white bread wil work too)
Feta
Figs
Honey
Pepper

The amounts obviously depends on how many tartines you make and the size of them. I'd say roughtly the layer of fig is twice as thick as the layer of feta. As for the honey...well it depends how much of a sweet tooth you are so I leave it to your good judgement :p

Preparation:

1. Toast the bread.

2. Crush some feta on top.

3. Slice the fig and lay on top of the feta.

4. Drizzle with honey.

5. Add a crack of black pepper.

Et voila! It really takes no time and hopefully you will enjoy this as much as we do at home!
